WOODFIRED PORCELAIN & STONEWARE:
Ann creates pieces for everyday use. Enjoy their beauty as you use these pieces regularly. These porcelain & stoneware pieces are dishwasher and oven safe. They are created, dried, bisque fired, glazed and made ready for the glaze firing. They are then put in a kiln fueled by wood alone. The parallel fire boxes are stoked alternately about every 3-5 minutes until cone 10/2300 degrees Fahrenheit is reached. This usually takes about 12 hours, but can take up to 30 hours. Typically the pieces include bowls, sushi trays, mugs , drinking vessels, vases, pitchers, platters and chip and dip plates and more.
